Sue Kirwin

July 28, 1962 ~ March 2, 2020 (age 57)



Sue Kirwin, age 57, of Hampton, FL, and formerly of Cochrane, WI, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Gainesville University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

She was born on July 28, 1962, in Winona, to Franklin and Lavonne (Schmidt) Huntley.

Sue’s passions in life were playing music, singing, and her family.  When she was younger, she sang and played with several bands throughout southeastern Minnesota, and loved to do karaoke for many years.  Some of Sue’s hobbies included cooking, fishing, hunting, and of course – singing!

Sue married Chris Kirwin on July 26, 2013, in Buffalo City, WI, overlooking the Mississippi River.

Sue is lovingly survived by her husband, Chris Kirwin, now of Winona; daughter, Miranda Armitage, Keystone Heights, FL; son, Shaylon Huntley, Cochrane, WI; step-son, Anthony Kirwin, Eau Claire, WI; father: Frank (Tammy) Huntley, Mission, TX; sisters: Sandy (Todd) Pruismann, Rochester, MN, and Shelly Lemmerman, Caledonia, MN; mother-in-law, Karen Ginder, Winona; father-in-law, Terry Kirwin, Rochester, MN; sister-in-law, Kim (Shawn) Smith, Rochester, MN; brother-in-law: Patrick (Stacy) Kirwin, Rochester, MN; four grandchildren; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Sue’s sister, Sherry Jackson, of Zumbro Falls, MN, passed away on January 15, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Lavonne, and her brother, Scott.

Due to COVID-19, we were not able to hold memorial services for Sue last year.

We are inviting everyone to a celebration of Sue’s life from 11 AM until a service at 1 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 East Sarnia Street in Winona.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore of St. Martin’s Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate.
