Mary Will

Mary T. Will, age 91 of Winona, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, February 12, 2021 with supportive love, prayer, and family by her side.

She was born on June 2, 1929, in St. Louis Park, MN, to Arthur and Blanche (Rooney) Green.  She was united in marriage with Lawrence “Larry” Will on June 16, 1951, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN.  Larry preceded her in death on June 8, 2009.

Mary was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, where she was active with Eucharistic Adoration and the Young at Heart program.  She had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary had a clever eye for decorating and was an excellent and dedicated homemaker. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma.  After raising her family, Mary had a home cleaning service where she made many lasting friendships and was able to be a caregiver to many of her clients.  Her kind and gentle manor will be dearly missed.  Mary will be remembered for her love of brisk morning and evening walks.  She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, playing cards, dice, and putting together puzzles.

Mary is lovingly survived by her children: Lorraine (Jim) Multhaup, Winona; Dorothy Towson; Rita (Chuck) Jessen, Winona; Mark Will, Winona; Daniel (Joy) Will, Winona; Neal (Debra) Will, Forest Lake, MN; and David (Sara Greff) Will, Nicollet, MN; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Due to current health concerns and restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona for Mary’s immediate family.  She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the spring.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
