Judith Schellhammer

Judith Lee (Holzer) Schellhammer, age 77, of Winona, formerly of Rochester, MN, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Lake Winona Manor.

Judy was born on October 27, 1943, in Eyota, MN, to John and Amanda (Fix) Holzer.  She married Roger Lee, Sr., and they later divorced.  Judy married Gerald Schellhammer on June 7, 1986, in St. Charles, MN, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2019.

She was employed as a home health aid for many years, and was a member of Christ our Rock Lutheran Church in Rochester where she was active with the women’s Bible study.  Her strong faith brought her much comfort during her last days, knowing that she would be going to a better place.

Judy will be remembered for her love of watching the Hallmark Channel, The Price is Right, and cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.  She also enjoyed trips with her son, Roger, to attend NASCAR races.  Her great sense of humor and fun will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Judy is lovingly survived by her daughter, Julie Antiel; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Bob (Barb) Holzer, Kay Wise, David (Tess) Holzer, Mary (Jerry) Daley, Richard (Linda) Holzer, Pat Marcil, Deb (Doug) Harnish, and William Holzer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son, Roger Lee, Jr.; parents; and her siblings: John Holzer and Linda Benedict.

Honoring Judy’s wishes, a private family service will be held, with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.

Judy’s family would like to thank the staff of Lake Winona Manor for the excellent and loving care that she received.
