Christy Fenske

Christy Lea Fenske, 63, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2020.

Christy was born on March 7, 1957, in Winona, to Marvin and Carol (Werner) Fenske.

She graduated from Winona Senior High in 1975. After graduation, she went on to get her cosmetology license and practiced cosmetology several years in Winona.

In the early 1980's, she moved to Tempe, AZ where she lived with her husband, Doug Rank from Money Creek, MN, and in 1986, they had their only child, Alaisha. Several years later, the marriage ended in divorce.

Christy continued to live in Arizona working for Goldwater's and then later became CEO of CD World Publishing. In 2000, Christy returned to Winona. She enjoyed being back with family and friends. Throughout her life, she loved crafting of all sorts and collecting angels.

Christy is survived by her daughter, Alaisha Rank; grandchildren: Masen, Micah, and Zaydianna; mother: Carol Fenske; sister: Dawn (Jeff) Thompson; brother: Derrick Fenske; and sister-in-law: Sandy Fenske; nieces and nephews: Mara Fenske, Preston (Sarah) Fenske, Shauna Fenske, Michael Fenske, Mitchell (Erin) Fenske, and Jeffrey (Katelynn) Thompson Jr.  She is further survived by uncles: Ted and Ralph Fenske, Robert (Ruth) Werner and Don (Julie) Werner.  She was preceded in death by her father: Marvin Fenske and brother: Karl Fenske.

A special thanks to Marcy Borgschatz for her many years of friendship and caring for Christy.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
