Veronica "Fern" Jick

Veronica S. “Fern” Jick, age 92, of Winona, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Benedictine – St. Anne in Winona.

She was born on May 30, 1933, in Pieper’s Valley, Buffalo County, WI, to John and Anna (Turzinski) Mrozek. In 1953, Fern married Bill Kramer, and they divorced. She later married Emil Jick, and he preceded her in death in 1977.

Fern was employed for several years with the Schuler Chocolate Factory in Winona and was also a proud and dedicated homemaker.

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of Lawrence Welk, cardinals, and trips to the casino. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she was a beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma who will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

Fern is survived by her son, Terry Kramer; grandchildren: Sierra (Chris Hurlburt) Kramer, Lyndsey (Dakota Olson) Dzwonkowski, and Daniel (Olivia) Dzwonkowski; great-grandchildren: Teagan, Ryker, and Easton; step-son, James (Cheryl) Jick and their family; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; son, Bob Kramer; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Michael Dzwonkowski; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Wos) Kramer; and a special friend and companion, Mark Semling.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home in Winona. Interment will be held privately.

Fern’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the “angels” at Benedictine – St. Anne for the wonderful and loving care she received.
