Timothy J. Kronebusch

Timothy J. Kronebusch, age 64, of La Crosse, WI, and formerly of Minnesota City, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 14, 2026, at his home.

Tim was born on February 1, 1962. He was adopted by Robert and Jacqueline ‘Jean’ (Kalso) Kronebusch. He was soon joined by his younger sister, Tamara. They grew up together in the family home in Minnesota City.

In Tim’s younger years, he enjoyed spending time with his cousins, working on his uncle's farm, playing baseball with the local Minnesota City team, creating artwork, and fishing with his family.

Tim loved the outdoors and being in nature. Camping, fishing, and exploring nature were some of his most peaceful times. He loved to travel as well. Seeing places like Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, San Diego, Hawaii, and the sights of Vegas with family were wonderful memories that he cherished. Tim had a dedicated career in food service, perfecting recipes at supper clubs and providing excellent service to his customers.

Tim was a creative soul; his greatest passion was music. He loved performing and writing songs. He was a very talented guitarist who enjoyed being a part of the band, “The Shifters”. He will be remembered for his love of sports. He was a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. Tim’s laugh was contagious and was enjoyed by all who knew him. He was a kind and caring neighbor who could always be counted on to help others. Most recently, you would find him tending to his garden plants and sharing his harvest with others. Tim was a proud dad and grandpa.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Stefan) Benter; grandchildren: Hannah and Callen Benter; sister: Tamara (Joe) Fahnhorst; nephews: Holden and Hayden Fahnhorst; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his close companion, Susan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved dogs, Daisy & Lily.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona, on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10 AM until a time of remembrance at 11 AM.
