Timothy Klug

Timothy M. Klug, age 54, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

He was born on May 19, 1964, in Waterville, Washington, to Rev. Henry and Ruth (Rauch) Klug, and was a graduate of Luther High School in Onalaska, WI.

Tim completed his training in Tool and Die Making at Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse. He was employed with Venture Machine Shop in Onalaska for two years, and with Luxco Northern Engraving for ten years.  In 2008, Tim started his own tool and die shop, Klugwerx.  His customers valued his talent and creativity with products he designed to meet their needs.  He was a master with computers, and he took great pride in the services his company provided.

Tim had many passions.  When he was young, he loved to work on old cars.  He would spend many hours tinkering to get those cars started again!  He also enjoyed working with wood and made beautiful furniture pieces for family and friends.  His favorite species was oak, and his masterpieces were done to perfection.

Tim loved his family.  He would do anything possible to help his family and friends.  Whenever they asked for help, he would drop what he was doing to help someone else.  He was so proud of his children, and he knew that they would have a successful future because of what he taught them about life.  He believed in their Christian education and shared his loved for the Lord.  He taught his family compassion and grace.

Tim was united in marriage with Sheryl Malenke on September 8, 1989, in Winona, and they just celebrated their 29th anniversary. Tim was a quiet and unassuming man that cared deeply for his wife.  Together they were a great team.  He will be missed terribly and will remain in her heart forever.

Tim is lovingly survived by his wife, Sheryl; children: Christine, Jason, and Olivia; mother, Ruth Klug; brothers: David (Leslie) Klug; and Mark (Karen) Klug; sister: Rachel (Dennis) Kile; brother-in-law: Jeff Malenke; nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Daniel) Clausnitzer; Nicholas and Benjamin Klug; Lauren, Abigail, Jacob and Gracia Kile; and Mallorie Malenke.   He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Henry Klug; sister: Karen Schroeder; nephews: Carl and Jeffrey Schroeder; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Beverly Malenke.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM until a closing devotional service at 7 PM on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be held from 12 noon until the funeral service at 1 PM on Monday, September 17, 2018, at St. Martin’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Reverend Richard A. Moore will officiate.  Tim will be laid to rest in the Hiler Cemetery in Nodine, MN.

Pallbearers will be: Ernie Fratzke, Scott Ludford, Jeff Harrison, Clarence Bautch, Rocky Sandcork, and Ivan Parcher.
