Thomas J. Bubula, age 79, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Winona Health, following a short but valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on September 6, 1940, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph and Eleanor (Parowski) Bubula, and was united in marriage with Eileen Pionke.
Tom attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he received his Bachelor Degree in Engineering, and also completed post-graduate studies. He held various positions before moving to Winona in 1998, serving as the President of Badger Equipment Company, until his retirement in 2000.
He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was a daily user of the YMCA. He was a member of the Winona Sportsman Club and of St. John Nepomucene Church.
Tom is lovingly survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen, Winona; daughter: Joanie (Jeffrey) Davies, Hoffman Estates, IL; son: Mark (Andrea) Bubula, Minneapolis, MN; granddaughters: Sierra, Edyn, and Chloe Davies; grandsons: Henry and Spencer Bubula; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
