Taylor Austin Harris, 51, died peacefully at Watkins Manor, Winona, MN, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Taylor was born October 29, 1972, in Winona to Keith and Mary Kathleen (Lorch) Harris of Centerville, WI.
Taylor married Christine Stow of Winona, on October 9, 1998, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona.
Taylor graduated from Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in 1990. She studied at St. Mary's University of Minnesota of Winona and at the Winona campus of Minnesota State College Southeast, where she graduated with a degree in accounting. She was a member of the St. Mary's University choir and the Central Lutheran Church choir.
Taylor worked at St. Mary's University of Minnesota, Pizza Productions, Technigraph, Winona Daily News, Target, A&W, Fleet Farm, and Arby's.
Taylor had a deep faith and was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Taylor had a lifelong love for cats, including many pet cats she loved over the years. In her spare time, Taylor enjoyed meteorology, puzzle books, reading, watching comedies, medical shows, and police dramas; watercolors, woodworking, studying French and Spanish, and playing piano. She loved Winona and being part of the community.
Taylor is survived by her wife, her brother Brent of Centerville, her mother, her uncle Bert Schaffner of Fountain City, cousins William Schaffner (Lori) of Trempealeau and Holly Meierhofer of Chandler, Arizona, a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, a cousin, an uncle, and 2 aunts. She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St. Pastor Michael Short will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.
Memorials may be directed to the Winona Humane Society or to Winona Health Hospice.
