Susan M. Zeller

Susan M. Zeller, age 77, of Pickwick, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

Sue was born on March 21, 1947, in Winona, to Edward and Roselyn (Ives) Serva. She was united in marriage with Gerald Zeller, Sr., on March 9, 1966, in Winona, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2018.

She was employed for many years at Riverside Electronics in their forming department, until her retirement. Sue had a deep devotion to her Catholic faith, and she looked forward to attending Mass until her health no longer allowed her to do so. 

She will be remembered for her enjoyment of going to BINGO at the Legion, trips to Treasure Island, and fishing in her younger days. As an excellent homemaker, Sue loved cooking, baking, and shopping. She also enjoyed Polka dancing, old time and classic country music, gardening, going out to eat, watching The Bold and the Beautiful, and decorating for the holidays, with Christmas being her favorite.

Sue’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially holiday get-togethers where she was able to cook a big meal. She cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren, and she looked forward to the new great-grandbabies and always wanted them close by. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Sue is lovingly survived by her children: Gerald (Onalee) Zeller, Jr.; Randy (Sheri) Zeller; Shawn (Gregory) Zeller; Kari (Anthony) Jereczek; and Kelly (Scott) Stalboerger; son-in-law: Lee Harlos; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with one expected great-grandbaby; siblings: Robert (Marie) Serva, Jr., Sandra (Ed) Newman, David Meech, Jr., Cynthia (Frank) Fitch, Debra Meech, and James (Kathy) Serva; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Roselyn; step-father, David Meech, Sr.; husband, Gerald Zeller, Sr.; daughter: Michelle Harlos; granddaughter: Morgan Zeller; great-grandson, Brayden; and siblings: Edward Serva, Judith Konkel, and Donna Bartelson. 

Visitation will be held from 4 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Visitation will also be held from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The Very Rev. Mark C. McNea will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gerald Zeller, Jr., Randy Zeller, Tyler Ziegler, Lee Harlos, Jordan Stalboerger, Dallas Zeller, and Dustin Zeller. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scott Stalboerger, Brad Gotz, Anthony McCoy, Gunner Salisbury, Justin Skluzacek, Kyle Harlos, and Greg Johnson. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shawn, Onalee, and Brooke for the loving care that they gave to Sue which allowed her to stay at home; and to the staff of Mayo Clinic Hospice for all of their care to Sue.
