Susan J. Lettner

Susan “Sue” Lettner, age 72, of Winona, Minnesota, died peacefully on December 28, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. 

She was born June 27, 1953, in Arcadia, Wisconsin, to William “Butch” and Amelia Wojchik, and grew up in Waumandee, Wisconsin. Sue graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School in 1971 and married her high school sweetheart, George “Geo” Lettner, on September 2, 1972. Together, they shared 42 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. They enjoyed time with friends and family, boating on the Mississippi, golfing, cheering on the Packers, and spending nearly every day together.

After earning her LPN from Winona Technical College, Sue worked briefly as a nurse before joining George to run their successful family business, G&S Refrigeration and Appliance Service. Sue’s greatest joy was her family. 

She is survived by her children: Jessica (Chad) Hertling and their children Michaela (Clinton) Fjerstad, Isaac, Myra (Cole) Moening; TJ (Shelley) Lettner and their children Braden, Emery, and Ayla, along with Tyler (Makaya) Sloan. She is also survived by siblings Jane (Dennis) Sheppard, Bill (Renata) Wojchik, Roger Wojchik, Ken (Pat) Wojchik, and Gerry (Peggy) Wojchik; and special friend, Gib Decker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George; parents Butch and Amelia; parents-in-law Leonard and Fran Lettner; siblings Ron (Mary) Wojchik, Lois (Pete) Smith, Judy (Jim) Slaby, and two infant siblings. 

Sue will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her many family members and friends. 

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a private gathering for family and close friends to follow. A time to share memories will be held toward the end of the celebration of life.
