Stanley D. Woxland, 85, passed away on May 1, 2026 at Brookdale Memory Care in La Crosse, WI.
He was born in Peterson, MN, on December 3, 1940 to Sibert and Dorothy (Grapentine) Woxland. On January 27, 1962, he married Audrey Hegland at South Ridge Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural La Crescent MN. To this union were born three children, Jeanette, John and James. Stan later married Elke (Purschke) Clark on May 26, 1976, in Warsaw, IN. A daughter Diane was born from this marriage.
Stan began his career at RR Donnelley in Connecticut, and remained with the company until his retirement as Maintenance Foreman in Warsaw IN.
Stan is survived by his four children, Jeanette (John) Jacobson, John (Candi) Woxland, James (Tina) Woxland and Diane Gilbert; grandchildren Matthew Jacobson, Conrad (Diana Stankivitz) Woxland, Hazel Woxland, Erik (Amanda) Woxland, Andy (Liesl) Woxland, Taylor (Jacob) Calloway and Katelin Osborn; great-grandchildren Grayson Woxland, Declan Calloway, Holden Calloway, Oakley Black and one on the way. He is further survived by siblings Helen (Wally) Moore, Linda (Thomas) Chick, Mary (James) Uphoff and Joann (Lonnie) Scattum, sisters-in-law Mary Woxland, Diane Woxland and Sandra Woxland, in addition to various nephews and nieces.
Stan was preceded in death by his father Sibert, mother Dorothy and stepmother Alice, wives Audrey and Elke, brothers Richard Woxland, Kenneth Woxland and Robert Woxland, sisters Patricia Strain and Kris Norton, and stepdaughter Kathy Osborn.
Stan will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona MN in a private graveside service. Please join us on May 29, 2026, at a celebration of life service which will be held at the American Legion, 302 E Sarnia St, Winona MN, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care Stan received from Brookdale Memory Care and Agrace Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Agrace Hospice.
