Roseanne Schultz

Roseanne F. Schultz, age 83, of Winona, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, surrounded by family at Sugar Loaf Senior Living in Winona.

Roseanne was born on March 2, 1938, in Arcadia, WI, to Joseph and Florence (Kulas) Rebhahn. She grew up on a farm with her 11 siblings and graduated from Arcadia High School.  On January 10, 1959, Roseanne was united in holy matrimony with Donald Schultz at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2012, after 53 years of marriage.

Roseanne began working at Winona Glove Company but spent most of her career working for Winona County. Before retiring in 2003, she was very involved in union activities and was union president for a time.  Roseanne was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka for many years.

Roseanne will be remembered for her green thumb, sewing abilities, and fabulous cooking. She was the master of a fish fry and made appetizers during all the Vikings games at Schniepp’s.  Roseanne’s greatest joy in life was her family and there was nothing she loved more than attending a play, concert, game, recital, or fundraiser for one of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren.

Roseanne is loved and will be deeply missed by her children: the late Donald Jr. (Anne) Schultz, Ron (Cloann) Schultz, and Craig (Cristen) Schultz, all of Winona; grandchildren: Monique (Dino) Castillo of Sheboygan, WI, Kylie (Matt) Pecarina, Alyssa (Josh) Renk, Ian (Madeline Beuning) Schultz, and Alice Rose Schultz, all of Winona; great-grandchildren: Charlize, Jack, Trey, Nellie, and Wilhelmina; brother: Paul “Cy” (Linda) Rebhahn; sister: Eileen Schmidtknecht; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Donald Jr., parents, brothers: Mark, Lawrence, Joseph, David, and Edward; and sisters: Hildegarde, Connie, Margaret, and Delores.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.   Father Jason Kern will officiate.  Roseanne will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Pine Creek, WI.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sugar Loaf Senior Living, especially Alyssa Renk, for the amazing care they gave Roseanne during her time there.
