Ronald Mitchell

Ronald J. Mitchell, age 72, of Winona, joined our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 9, 2018.  He was surrounded by family and friends at the Good Shepherd Home in Rushford, MN.

Ron was born on June 15, 1946, in Albany, NY, to Herbert and Alice (Hathaway) Mitchell, Sr.

He will be remembered for his love of traveling, trips to the casino, and hanging out at the local coffee shops visiting with his friends.  His greatest joy in life was the time that he spent with his family.

Ron is survived by his love of 11 years, Barb Pruka; children: Ronald and Veronica Mitchell; siblings: Rena (Charles) Spano, Winona; Ervin (Sandy) Mitchell, Sr., Winona; and George Mitchell, La Crosse; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, April; brother, Mitch; and a niece, Susan.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, and again from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the funeral home.  Chaplain Ronia Frelund will officiate.  Ron will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Minneiska, MN.

Pallbearers will be: Ervin Mitchell, Jr., Brad Pruka, James Hanrehan, Chris Holte, Steve Smith, and Jordon Mitchell.  Honorary Pallbearers will be: Veronica Mitchell, Ronald Mitchell and Ty Smith.
