Roger Pruka

Roger A. Pruka, age 72, of Winona, MN, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Sauer Health Care.

He was born October 24, 1947, in Winona, to Laverne Pruka and Rosalie Prigge Pruka Housker.  He spent 2 years in the Army and after coming home worked for the DNR and ended up retiring from Froedert Malt after 29 years.

Roger enjoyed fishing. Ice fishing. hunting and playing cards with his friends.  He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles club.

He married Judy Tungesvik on March 27, 1971, and they later divorced but remained friends.  He is survived by: his daughter, Jana Pruka (Cory Williams); sister: Patricia Walker; half-sisters: Kathleen Ann Pruka (Tom Feiten), and Nancy Pruka (Gary Bambenek); nieces: Shannon Walker, Sara Witt, Nicole Kohls Grossell, and Melissa Newcomb; and nephews: Lance Walker, Christopher Walker,  Steve Witt, John Witt, and Chris Grossell.  He was preceded in death by his parents Laverne Pruka and Rosalie Housker; and his step-father Alton Housker.

Due to current conditions there will be no services at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
