Roger William Brown, Jr., passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the age of 69, losing a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. 

Roger was a graduate of Winona Cotter.  After high school, he worked as a produce manager at Randall’s grocery store.

Roger then became a welder, spanning his career over 45 years throughout WI and MN.  Roger retired from Winona Welding as a welder and CDL truck driver in 2017.  Roger was a very proud and respected man.  

He loved riding his Harley, playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. 

He especially loved being in his backyard with his kids and grandchildren having “Just Another Day in Paradise” 

Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Roger is survived by his wife of 51 years. Sharon (Rieger); daughter, Sheyenne (Dan Studer); granddaughter, Sierra; son, Kevin (Heather Zeller); granddaughter, Aubrey; grandson, Ty; mother-in-law, Doreen Rieger; brothers: Bob (Linda), Rick, Rod (Dana) and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Ardis Brown Sr., sisters: Mary (Bruce Kryzer) and Teri (John Ronnenberg); father-in-law, Frank Rieger; and sister-in-law, Susie (Rieger) Henry.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held on Saturday, December 162023, from 1 PM to 5 PM at Sloppy Joe’s Tavern at 526 E. 3rd St. Winona, MN.
