ROBERT "BOB" JENKINSON

Robert Dale “Bob” Jenkinson, age 72, of Daytona Beach, FL, and formerly of Winona, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2015, at his home in Daytona Beach.

Bob was born on April 22, 1943, to Dale and Winifred (Kerns) Jenkinson. On December 28, 1960, Bob married the love of his life and best friend Donna Roach. Bob and Donna felt so blessed to be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary on the very day he was called home to heaven. To this 55 years of marriage, Bob’s most precious gifts were born: his 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, with one more great-granddaughter due in March.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Donna; children: Jody (Bill) Rumpca, Winona, MN; Jim (Pam) Jenkinson, Portland, OR; and Jackie (Billy) Gibbons, Stockton, MN; grandchildren: Billy Rumpca, Nikki (Seth) Olson, Brooke (Wade) Meyer, Kelly (David) Dockter, Austin Rumpca, Landon Jenkinson, Garth Rumpca, Ben Jenkinson, and Keyton Gibbons; step-grandchildren: Kyle (Alissa) Grebisz, Danny (Angelique) Grebisz, and Anthony Grebisz; great-grandchildren: McKenna and Caiden Meyer; Braelee Dockter, and her sister due in March; step-great-grandchildren: Jadyn, Madyson, Alyha, and Serenity Grebisz and two more Grebisz babies due in September; foreign exchange grandson, Lukas Beck of Stuttgart, Germany. Bob was so proud of his children and grandchildren and would tell anyone that would listen all about them with a little bragging involved.  Additionally, Bob is survived by his two sisters: Darlene Bartelson and Bernita Langowski. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha Rumpca; parents; brother, Darrell; and sister, Nadine.

Bob retired from Tousley/Sugar Loaf Ford after 35 years of employment. After retirement, Bob and Donna made their summer home at Lake Neshonoc in West Salem, WI, and their winter home in Daytona Beach where Bob continued working as “Mr. Fix It.”  In 2013, Bob and Donna made their permanent home in Daytona Beach where they formed many wonderful friendships. In July 2015, they purchased their forever home in Winona, and were so excited to be coming back home in April 2016.

In earlier years, Bob could be found in his garage working on his race car or driving his #88 to victory lane at the local dirt tracks. Bob loved NASCAR racing and was a devoted Earnhardt fan. He was a member of the Wilson Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for 18 years, of which he proudly served as Chief for 10 years, until his retirement from the department.

Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Friend - we love you so much and will miss you every day.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 2 PM until 5 PM, where a Prayer Service and a time of remembrance will be held at 4:30 PM.
