Robert P. Pozanc

Robert Paul “Pozy” Pozanc, age 66, of Winona, passed away on November 10, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born the middle child of John and Irene Pozanc on July 3, 1957, in Winona, MN, Bob loved nature and being outdoors whenever possible.  He loved spending time with family, especially his two sons and his grandkids.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, bowling, horseshoes, and bean bags.  He especially loved his hunting trips to Wyoming and the many memories recounted numerous times over and over every year.  He was the best at making bird calls and animal sounds.  He loved imitating the sounds and watching people look for the bird or animal he was imitating.

Bob worked as a material handler and operated the offsite warehouse for around 40 years at WS Packaging DBA Multi Color Corp., formerly Boelter Industries where he was well liked and formed many lifelong friendships.

Bob is survived by his two sons: Derek (Emily Kieselhorst) and Dustin; grandchildren: Skye, Ian, Austyn, and Audrie; great-grandchild, Warren, as well as another due to arrive in December.  He is also survived by his loving mother, Irene; sisters: Joan Van Brunt, Sue Pozanc, and Paula (Bob) Brang; brothers: Mark (Barb), Mike (Lisa), and Joe (Debbie); as well as many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; brother-in-law, Dale Van Brunt; and great-nephew, Peyton Lorenz.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 4 PM until 7 PM.  Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM.  The Very Reverend Mark C. McNea will officiate.  Following the service, a luncheon and reception will be held at the American Legion Club, 302 E. Sarnia St., Winona.
