Nancyann Knudson

Nancyann (Foster) Knudson passed away January 21, 2018, at the age of 87 years at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, Minnesota, surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 2, 1930. In the mid-1940’s she and her parents moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1948, and later met the love of her life, Roger Leroy Knudson.  They were married July 3, 1952, in the First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs.  They moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and later St. Paul, Minnesota, while Roger finished his pastoral education. During the course of their marriage she resided in Wisconsin and Minnesota where Roger served several Lutheran congregations.  As a child, Nancyann enjoyed reading, singing, and ice skating.  As an adult, she added a passion for knitting, counted cross stitching, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and traveling.   She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandson.

Nancyann is survived by her husband Roger Leroy Knudson; children David Roger (Laurel) Knudson, Sheryl Marie (Timothy A.) Winland; son-in-law John Wornson; grandchildren: Christopher (Jennifer) and Patrick Wornson; Sean, Corey, Mara and Krista Knudson; Christina Marie and Timothy Joshua Winland; great grandchild Cale Wornson; and brothers-in-law: James L. (Lawrin) Knudson and Delmar H. Knudson.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Anne Wornson, and her parents, Clarence D. and Vivian O. Foster.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 201 Mankato Ave, Winona, Minnesota, 55987.  Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Central Lutheran Church, 259 West Wabasha, Winona, Minnesota, 55987.  Pastor Jan Mehlhoff will be presiding.  A luncheon will be served immediately following the service.

Pallbearers will be Nancyann’s grandchildren: Christopher Wornson, Patrick Wornson, Sean Knudson, Corey Knudson, Krista Knudson, Mara Knudson, Christina Winland, and TJ (Timothy) Winland.
