Michael P. Abraham, 71, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Mike was born on July 22, 1954, in Winona, to Robert and Lois (Haeuser) Abraham. He was a lifelong resident of Winona, graduating from Winona Senior High and Winona State University. He was employed by RTP Company for 40 years, retiring in 2021.
Mike had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on the Mississippi, gardening and downhill skiing in his younger years, including being a member of the ski patrol team at Coffee Mill. He was a good cook and especially enjoyed using his smoker - he made the best venison sausage. He was a member of St. Martin's Ev. Lutheran Church, Trout Unlimited and a board member of the Winona Eagles Club.
Mike is survived by his sister, Ann Abraham, brother, Tom Abraham, uncle, Richard Abraham, aunts, Merida Abraham and Joan McGraw, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Martin's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona. Pastor Kyle Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4 PM until 6 PM, and also at the church on Friday, February 27, 2026, from noon until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would respectfully request memorials to be directed to the organization of your choice.
