Mary Paszkiewicz

Mary Paszkiewicz passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024.

She was born on August 17, 1929, in Winona, Minnesota. Mary’s primary mission in life was to provide for and raise her five children. Over the years, Mary enjoyed traveling, cooking, visits to super clubs and playing cards with family and friends. Mary was an amazing card player and hosted multiple card groups at her home on a weekly basis. Mary was happiest when her family gathered, always making sure there were Bloedows donuts, shrimp dip and potato chips, Rocco’s pizza, and of course, “the good ham”.

Mary married Ed Paszkiewicz in 1989 and enjoyed many happy years until Ed’s passing in 2002. Mary and Ed enjoyed traveling together, watching Twins baseball and time with family.

Mary had a rewarding career as a bookkeeper with St. Stanislaus School and Church as well as Cotter High School. In her fifties, she returned to university to earn her college degree. Not knowing how to properly retire, she continued to work into her eighties.

Mary lived on her own into her nineties, enjoying her views of the bluffs and sunny days on the Lake Winona Bike path. Mary and her family are deeply grateful for the help and support of her much-loved friends who helped her maintain her independence through the decades.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Paszkiewicz, her sister Shirley (Zyblicki), and her parents Vincent and Francis Glomski. Mary is survived by her children Jon (Jane) Feist, Joel (Susan) Feist,  Jeff Feist, Jason (Ann) Feist and Jennifer (David) Tarbert, grandchildren Kristen (Larry) Geronsin, Carolyn (Todd) Tiedens, Dan (Erika) Feist, Ben (Sandra) Feist, Andy (Liz) Feist, Aaron (Mindy) Feist, Ryan Feist, Jacob (Carrigan) Danish, Mykenzie Niewald, Sam Niewald, and great grandchildren Brennan Feist, Harper Feist, Sydne Blahnik, Preston Geronsin, Oscar Feist, Lysander Feist, Nia Niewald, and Nora Feist.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Mary on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM, at Visions Event Center located at 22852 County Road 17, Winona. At 2 PM, Pastor Kathy Redig, of All Are One Catholic Church, will lead a short service, followed by time to visit and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites anyone interested to contribute to a handicapped picnic table honoring Mary and Ed along the bike path at Lake Winona Park.

If you wish to mail a check for this memorial, please send it to Jason Feist, 1714 Ashford Lane, Waunakee, WI 53597.
