Mary (Krier) Ginther, age 82, of Fountain City, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Marinuka Manor in Galesville, WI.
Mary was born on August 26, 1936, and later adopted by Joe and Margaret Krier of Winona. She was united in marriage to Mike Ginther on April 27, 1957, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2013.
She was employed as a nurse’s aide for many years at various health care centers including St. Michael's Nursing Home in Fountain City, WI.
When Mary retired, she enjoyed baking and trying new recipes, planting flowers, and watching the birds in the garden. She also enjoyed her daily soaps on TV as well as going on annual fishing trip to northern Wisconsin.
Mary is survived by her children: Tom (Suzane) Ginther, Steve Ginther, Carrie (Bruce) Pronschinske, Susan (Peter) Hund, and Arnie (Brenda) Ginther; grandchildren: Michael Ginther, Tina Bloom, Devin Pronschinske, Amanda (Hadwin) Henry Jr., Justin (Sue) Ginther, and Jamie (Aaron) Samuel; great-grandchildren: Landyn, Levi and Lideeya Henry; and Kaylee and Colby Ginther; brother: Bill Krier; sister: Nancy (Krier) Hull; brother-in-law: George Ginther; and many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
A private family service and burial for Mary will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.
