Marie Berg

Marie O. Berg, age 97, of Winona, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Lake Winona Manor.

She was born on October 25, 1920, in Spring Grove, MN, to Martin and Agnetta (Bergsgaard) Tweeten, and was a graduate of Winona Senior High School.  Marie was united in marriage with Alvin C. Berg on January 10, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, IA; he preceded her in death on September 28, 1998.

Marie will be remembered as an excellent homemaker, who had a great love of animals, the outdoors and flower gardening.  Alvin and Marie enjoyed traveling with their travel club, and they especially enjoyed the winters in Florida and Texas.  She was a member of Central Lutheran Church.

Marie is survived by her daughter: Patricia (Lance) Carroll; granddaughter: Kristin Carroll; sister-in-law: Vivian Tweeten; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother: Palmer Tweeten.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the funeral service at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home.  The Reverend Louise Stromberg of Central Lutheran Church will officiate.

Marie will be laid to rest in a family ceremony at Woodlawn Cemetery.
