Margaret M. Grover, age 100, of Centerville, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Marinuka Manor in Galesville, WI.
She was born on June 1, 1926, in Trempealeau County, WI, to Hiller and Anna (Jaszewski) Knepper. Margaret attended school in Trempealeau and received her teaching degree from the Alma Normal School in Alma, WI.
Margaret was united in marriage with Donald S. Grover on September 24, 1955, at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Trempealeau, and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2016.
Margaret began her teaching career in rural schools, including the Newcomb Valley School, and then she taught for many years with the Catholic School in Arcadia until her retirement.
She will be remembered for her enjoyment of playing BINGO, knitting, and she especially cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a long-time member of St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Trempealeau, and had a deep devotion to her Catholic faith.
Margaret is lovingly survived by her children: Donna (Doug) Sonsalla, Arcadia, WI; Ken Grover, Trempealeau; and Dennis (friend, Terry) Grover, Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren: Michelle (Paul) Hoch, Aaron (Lindsey) Sonsalla, and Jacob Sonsalla; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Anna, Corianna, Weston, and Lorelai; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all her siblings and their spouses: Edward (Pat) Knepper, Catherine (Red) Ellerman, Peter (Betty) Knepper, Theresa (Llaird) Hunter, and Paul (Barb) Knepper.
Visitation will be held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Trempealeau, WI, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Fr. Sebastian Saleth Pitchai will officiate.
Margaret will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Trempealeau.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Aaron Sonsalla, Jacob Sonsalla, and Paul Hoch.
