Lois Neitzke

Lois Jean Neitzke, age 82, of Winona, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Lake Winona Manor, embraced by the love of her family.

She was born on October 21, 1936, in Rollingstone, MN, to Weston and Clara (Redmann) Larson.  Lois was united in marriage with Harry Neitzke on May 19, 1956, at Faith Lutheran Church in Winona.  She was a life-long resident of Winona, and a member of the Lois Club.

Lois’ faith and her family were the foundations of her life.  As a member of Faith Lutheran Church, she was active with singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, and the church quilters. She was also instrumental in establishing the church library, and served as the church librarian for many years.  She was a loving wife and mother who was a dedicated homemaker, and she also cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren. Lois will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Lois is lovingly survived by her husband, Harry; sons: Gary (Gail) Neitzke, and Russ (Michelle) Neitzke; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Joan (Keith) Larson; sister-in-law: Barbara Larson; as well as other relatives and friends, including multiple special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas; parents; and brothers: Richard and James Larson.

Visitation will be held beginning at 9 AM, with the funeral service at 11 AM, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Faith Lutheran Church in Winona.  The Reverend Mark Dumke will officiate.  Lois will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Scott Neitzke, David Neitzke, Daniel Neitzke, Dennis Jacobs, Scot Larson, and Kevin Larson.

Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church, or to Lake Winona Manor.

Lois’ family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lake View Court of Lake Winona Manor, and to Winona Health Hospice, for the loving care that she received.
