La Verne Kohner

La Verne L. Kohner, age 90, passed away at his home in Winona, MN, on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

He was born March 26, 1931, in Winona, Minnesota to Leonard Kohner and Margaret Kohner.  La Verne dedicated his life to his work at Riverside Integrated Solutions where he had just retired two weeks prior to his death.  He also dedicated his life to both church and God and was a lifelong member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

He was a quiet man, but once you got to know him, his sense of humor and knowledge of the world would shine through, he was respected by his co-workers and friends and he was often spotted walking the WSU campuses daily for exercise to stay fit.

La Verne will be missed by many.

He is survived by his brother Richard Kohner of Winona, his nephew Steve (Camille); niece: Claire (Karen); 6 grandnephews: Caleb (Shanise), Lucas, Jacob, Phillip, Davian and Jerome.

No services will be held.
