Kent M. Luhmann, age 57, of Winona, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, July 30, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 14, 1963, in Minneapolis, MN, to Wayne and Bette (Pflughoeft) Luhmann, and was baptized a week later at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winona on December 20. When he was 7, Kent’s family relocated from Winona to Howard Lake, MN, where he grew up on the family farm. He spent his late teens and early 20s traveling across the country to places like Florida, Texas, California, Colorado, and he even drove to Alaska.
Kent married Michele LePage on June 8, 1985, and they later moved back to Winona, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was employed working in different aspects of construction for over 40 years.
He will be remembered for his love of everything with the outdoors where he enjoyed trapping, traditional bow hunting, and deer hunting, with his true passion being duck hunting.
Kent is survived by his wife, Michele; daughter, Abigail; his mother, Bette Luhmann; his siblings: Kevin Luhmann, Karen Broberg, Kurt Luhmann, Kristal Stueven, and Korey Luhmann; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Luhmann.
Honoring Kent’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately for his family.
