Kenneth L. Kuchel

Kenneth Lee Kuchel, age 96, of Winona, passed away on August 31, 2025, at Sauer Health Care in Winona under the care of Winona Health Hospice.

He was born in Alma, WI, on August 5, 1929, to Edward and Selma (Maasen) Kuchel. On June 20, 1959, he was united in marriage to Carol Hand, later welcoming sons Skot, Jeff, and Troy to the family.

During his working years, he farmed, did concrete/construction work, and delivered auto parts. In retirement, he delivered the newspaper as well as senior meals. He had strong faith in God's promises, and it brought him much comfort over the years. His most enduring memories were times spent on the farm and in nature. He loved animals and caring for them, annual camping and fishing trips to Canada, and, in recent years, Saturday breakfasts with family. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his sisters: Doris Dick and Lois Black. He is survived by sons: Skot Kuchel of Winona, Jeff (Melissa) Kuchel of Galesville, and Troy (Sherri) Kuchel of Winona; granddaughters: Kendra (Brett) Hoskinson, Kara Witzke, and Kelsi Kuchel; and great-granddaughters: Kayleigh and Bria Hoskinson. He is further survived by a brother-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. He will be remembered for his ready smile and kind ways. 

Honoring his wishes, there will not be any services. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Centerville, WI.
