Kenneth F. Krause, age 85, of Winona, passed away at his home on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Ken was born on August 19, 1940, in Winona, MN, to Franklin and Elsie (Mueller) Krause, and was a graduate of Winona High School. On December 30, 1967, he married Lois F. Teske at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona. Lois preceded him in death on January 2, 2023.
Ken dedicated his career to the automobile industry, serving as a parts and service manager for several dealerships, including Wagnild, Nystroms, Underdahl, Walz, and Paul Busch. He was also a proud owner and operator of Ken’s Sales and Service and Import Auto Parts in Winona.
Ken was a long-time member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona where he served in various capacities and committees over the years.
He cherished traveling with Lois, especially their journeys out west and along Route 66, and he had a passion for collector cars. Family was very important to Ken; he enjoyed working on cars with his son, Matt, and he faithfully attended his grandchildren’s ball games.
Ken is survived by his son, Matthew (Serena) Krause; grandchildren, Alex and Lauren; brother, Loyal “Bud” (Judy) Krause; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Philip.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 766 W. Wabasha St., Winona. The Reverend Winfried Schroeder will officiate. Ken will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Winona.
