Keith William Schossow, of Ridgeway, Minn. passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was 61.

He was born on March 20, 1956, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. to Roy and Lavonne Schossow of Ridgeway, the third of four sons.

Keith grew up on the family farm in Ridgeway. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church, and attended Ridgeway Elementary School and Winona Senior High School.

Keith entered the U.S. Navy after graduating from high school and served on the USS Guardfish. He was stationed in California and was honorably discharged in 1979.

While stationed in California, he met Cindy Terrill of Sonora, Ca. They lived together in California and Washington before returning to Minnesota to help his father with the farm.

Keith and Cindy have three daughters: Amber (“Little Susie”), Breann (“Bill,” “Bugster” and “Boss”) and Chelsea (“Runt”). They raised them on the family farm.

Keith was an incredible man - he would do anything for anyone and enjoyed spending time with family and dear friends hunting and farming. He also enjoyed spending time in the woods with his dog, Elle, driving his tractors and watching NHRA drag racing with friends.

Keith’s parents, Roy and Lavonne, preceded him in death along with other beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is survived by his partner, Cindy Terrill, of Ridgeway; daughters, Amber, Breann and Chelsea; brothers, Steve (Nadeane), Dean and Byron; a sister- and- brother-in-law, Terry and Duane; nephews and nieces Jeremy (Amy), Joel, Jason, Jessica (Derek) Gunderson, Chad, Nikki, Jarad, Jordan (Elizabeth) and Shayla;12 great-nieces and great-nephews and many other aunts, cousins and other family.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Ridgeway Community School, with a service at 8 p.m.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson, where the American Legion Leon J. Wetzel Post 9 will provide military honors.
