Judi M. Palmer

Judi M. Palmer, 60, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, January 5, 2026.

She was born on February 19, 1965, in Clinton, Iowa, to John and Elizabeth “Liz” (Solberg) Palmer. Judi was a graduate of DeSoto High School and spent much of her working life in food service, including many years as a cook with Steak Shop Catering in Winona.

Judi found joy in the simple things she loved most—reading, cooking, and collecting cookbooks. A devoted animal lover, she especially treasured the companionship of her dogs throughout the years.

She is survived by her father, John Palmer; her siblings, Vicki Haefer, Daniel Palmer, and Wanda Palmer (Jared Greeno); her nephews, Alex Engstler and Zach Engstler; along with other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Liz Palmer; her stepmother, Mary Ann Palmer; her brother-in-law, Todd Haefer; and her sister-in-law, Heidi Palmer.

A celebration of Judi’s life will be held at Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia Street, Winona, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The family kindly requests that memorials be directed to the Winona Humane Society or a local animal shelter of your choice.
