Joseph Renk

Joseph G. Renk, age 77, of Winona, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the Roger Metz Manor.

Joe was born on April 17, 1941, in Winona, to Edward and Elizabeth (Hartman) Renk.  He honorably served his country with the United States Army in Vietnam, and was a member of the VFW.  Joe was employed with Seneca Foods in Rochester, MN, until his retirement

Joe will be remembered for his love of dancing, music, and playing the harmonica.

Joe is survived by his siblings: Marguerite (Donald) Hundt; Martin (Luz) Renk; and Edward (Kerry) Renk; a sister-in-law: Mary Renk; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Matthew Renk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winona, where visitation will be held in the church commons one hour prior to the Mass.  The Reverend James Berning will officiate.  Joe will be laid to rest in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
