John Springer

John Frank Springer, 73, died on Monday, August 31, 2020 peacefully at his home in Winona, MN.  John was born July 3, 1947, to Roman and Rose (Kozlowski) Springer.

John graduated from Cotter High School in Winona and in 1965 married the love of his life Joyce Schreiber.

John was a professional machinist and over his career worked for Peerless Chain, Northwest Airlines, and most recently Mactech in Red Wing, MN.

John loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  John also loved stock car racing, airplanes, his many motorcycle adventures with his son Chris, football, and his special bond with his dog Jack.

John is survived by his loving wife Joyce; Children, Melissa (Paul) Taylor, Amy (Derek Breiland) Springer. Christopher (Michele) Springer; Grandchildren, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Cody, Cheyenne, Kallie, Jonathon, and Megan; Great-Grandchildren, Olivia, Brayden, Haley, Emmett, Ellie, and Odie; Brothers, Tom (Nancy) Springer, and Henry (Mary Beth) Springer; Sister-in-law, Julie Schreiber. John was preceded in death by his parents and 13 brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home (376 East Sarnia Street) on Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 1 PM until 3 PM, where Deacon Justin Green will lead a prayer service at 2:30 PM.  Those attending will be required to wear a mask, and to follow social distancing guidelines.
