Jerome Baertsch

Jerome M. Baertsch (Jerry) passed away at 70 years.  He was born in Arcadia, WI, and grew up in Fountain City, WI, graduating from Cochrane-Fountain City High School.  Jerry enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.  He had been an avid golfer until health prevailed.  Since retirement from Fiberite and St. Mary’s College, Jerry became quite the connoisseur in the kitchen.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Baertsch and Ester Baertsch-Kluender; step-dad, Dan Kluender; older brother, James Baertsch; brother-in-law, Dave Rolbiecki; and two nieces, Kimberly Baertsch and Pamela Rolbiecki.

He is survived by his sister, Janice Rolbiecki and “Teddy”; sister-in-law, Romelle Baertsch; his “adopted brother,” Steve Nelton; brother, Jeff (Donna) Baertsch; as well as nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held from 1 PM until 3 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Whalens at Westfield, 1460 W. 5th St., Winona.
