Jean C. Kuehn

Jean Carol Kuehn, age 82, of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born on June 28, 1942, in Winona, to Lester and Lucille Henderson. She resided in Winona her whole life, where she met the love of her life, Clarwin Kuehn. They were united in marriage on October 15, 1960. Together they created the business, Kuehn Trucking, and they recently celebrated 60 successful years in business.

Jean was also a waitress for most of her life, a job that she loved because of her love for people. She was employed at Hillside Fish House, the Hot Fish Shop, Randalls Grocery Store, and St. Mary’s College. 

She was always the life of the party! Everyone that knew her loved her. She had a heart the size of Texas and was kind to everyone. Jean always enjoyed trips to the casino, traveling with family, and a good glass of wine. She would light up any room she entered by telling jokes, singing, dancing, and laughing.

Jean will be forever cherished and remembered by her husband, Clarwin; children: Becky (Joe), Brenda, Curt, Kevin (Wanda), and Tammy (Dan); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Henderson; sister, Charlotte Volkman; in-laws: Sandra Loesel and Beverly and Dennis Daniels; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law: Theresa Kuehn; grandsons: Blake Hauser and Joshua Jonsgaard; and her siblings: Dorothy Goebel, Ervin Henderson, Evelyn Lassen, Donald Henderson, Lowell Henderson, Stanley Henderson, Betty Zajdel, Joyce Kreinbring, Beverly Gerth, and Robert Henderson; in-laws: Melvin and Luella Kuehn, sister-in-law, Kathy Zastrow, and Nancy Todd as well.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until a service at 12 noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona. A luncheon and celebration of Jean’s life will continue at the Black Horse on Saturday beginning at 1 PM.

Jean will be buried in a private family service at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Jonsgaard, Jared Jonsgaard, Corie Maynard, Wade Meyer, David Dockter, Jordan Reichel, Gus Kropidlowski, Todd Klinger, Jacob Lynch, Peter Hansen, Allen Riedemann, Derrell Walker, Kyle Hauser, and Grant Hauser.
