Janice E. Dufseth

Janice Elizabeth Dufseth, 82, of Rollingstone, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Jan was born on October 10, 1943, to Harland and Edith Richey in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She graduated from Litchfield Public Schools in 1961 and married Arnold Dufseth on August 1, 1964. They were married for 62 years and had three children: James (Kristi), Jessica (Jeffrey), and Jeffrey (Lisa). She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Alfred and David (Margaret).

Jan taught piano and played music. She also loved theater and enjoyed local productions as well as Broadway shows. Aside from the arts, she enjoyed camping, traveling and fishing. However, her first love was family. She was a devoted mother. She saw her children go through school and get married.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. In honor of Jan, those attending are asked to wear bright and colorful apparel.

Following the service, a luncheon and reception will be held at the funeral home.

Jan was laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Rollingstone, MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorials be directed to the Music Department of Winona Senior High School.
