Henry Volkman

Henry Volkman, age 88, has entered his eternal home.

He was born to Hubert and Emma Volkman on January 24, 1932.  On March 21, 1953, he married Ellen Brand.  He enjoyed and took pride in his work, especially farming and driving trucks, and he looked forward to the next task and staying busy.  He had a strong body, a determined spirit, a kind heart, and a firm faith in his Savior.

Henry is loved and missed by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Joan; son, Ronald; granddaughter, KC; sisters: Etta Meyer and Marcella (Stanley) Marin; brother, Melvin; and sisters-in-law: Doris and Jean.

He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law: Jody; and his siblings: Viola, Orman, Lilla, Hubert, Jr., Elnora, Benjamin, Mildred, Harry, Wilbert, Marvin, Roger, and James.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, MN.  The Reverend Michael Lindemann and the Reverend Paul Kuckhahn will officiate.  Henry will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be considered in lieu of flowers.
