Grace Grochowski

Grace M. Grochowski, age 93, of Winona, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018, at the Roger Metz Manor.

She was born on November 19, 1925, in Winona, to Harry and Stella (Cyert) Kluzik.  Grace married John Grochowski on March 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2014.

In her younger years, Grace enjoyed bowling, and she will be remembered for her love of gardening and as a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for her family.  She was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.

Grace is survived by her children: Carole Tomaszewski, Bloomington, MN; Jean (Bill) Rowekamp, Winona; and Allen (Sherri) Grochowski, Post Falls, ID; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Herb Gernes; son-in-law: Gordon Tomaszewski; and a sister.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.  The Very Reverend Patrick Arens will officiate.  Grace will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
