Ginger Keith

Ginger (Virginia L.) Keith, of Winona, died on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at her home.

Originally from Winnebago, MN, she was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Vergia Headley; her husband, Harry E. (“Mike”) Keith, Jr., and her brother, Hal (Bea) Headley.  She is survived by her sons: Lon Keith of Winona, and Joel (Fran) Keith of Richmond, VA; three granddaughters: Melissa (Norman) Young, Anna (Aaron) Tunnell, and Sara (Tim) Samsa; and six great-grandchildren: Nora, Audrey, Lucy, Margot, Colin and Roland.

Ginger retired from the Winona Public Library where she worked as a reference librarian, and the Winona County Historical Society where she worked in the archives.

The family wishes to thank all her caregivers Lindsey, Rozy, Jessica, Lindsy, Kelsey, Megan, Kayla and Holly (and Sam) for all their care and affection provided to Ginger over her final years.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the memorial service at 1 PM, on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 201 Mankato Avenue.  The Reverend Kathy Schuler will officiate.  Following the service, the family will receive Ginger’s friends at the American Legion, 302 E. Sarnia.  A family burial will be held later this spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winona County Historical Society, 160 Johnson Street, Winona, MN 55987 in Ginger’s name.
