Geraldine E. (Merchlewitz) Pahl, age 88, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Benedictine – St. Anne in Winona.

She was born on October 26, 1935, in Stockton, MN, to Florian and Linda (Oevering) Merchlewitz.  Geraldine married Stanley Pahl on September 28, 1985, in Winona, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1991.

Geraldine enjoyed many years in the trucking industry, especially when she owned and operated White Dove Trucking with her husband, Stan.  

She had a deep love and devotion for her Catholic faith, spending many years as a Sunday School teacher.  She was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and of the Winona Eagle’s Club.

Geraldine had a passion for collecting angels, sharing her collection with all her family members.  She will be remembered as a loving, kind, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Geraldine is lovingly survived by her children: Mitch (Cristi) Brink, Rick (Mary Duffy) Brink, Cindy (Scott) Senrick, and Gene (Amy) Brink; son-in-law: David Barnewitz; grandchildren: Monty (Rebecca) Brink, Scott (Emily) Brink, Ricky (Kate Shea) Brink, Dylan Ring, Ryan (Mollie) Brink, Brady (Karley) Brink, Abby (Jerrod) Roberts, Joel Barnewitz, Lance (Marite Olmstead) Barnewitz, and Josh Brink; 8 great-grandchildren: Jaxun, Ellee, Addyson, Asher, Dryver, Keelyn, Taylor, and Parker; sister, Virginia Kahnert; brother-in-law: Lalo Ulloa; step-children: Loren, Sheila, and Samantha; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan; sons: Randy and Derrick Brink; daughter: Mellissa Barnewitz; brother: Tony Merchlewitz; and sisters: Lisa Ulloa and Lillian Merchlewitz.

Honoring her wishes, funeral services will be held privately for her family.   She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona.

Geraldine’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Callista Court, St. Anne’s, and Winona Health Hospice, for the wonderful and loving care that she received.
