Eugene "Jamie" M. Brudwick

Eugene “Jamie” M. Brudwick, age 84 of Minnesota City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville, MN.

He was born on September 30, 1941, in Austin, MN to Mervin and Victoria “Margret” (Wanous) Brudwick. Eugene married Sherry Seiver on December 28, 1963; they later divorced. On May 6, 1983, he married Laverne “Lovey” Strelow in Winona, Minnesota. He cherished time with his wife, Lovey, and found joy in traveling to the Black Hills, fishing, car racing, and woodworking. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his sister, Yvonne (James) Datta; children: Terese (Daniel) Blakeslee; Tamra “Tammie” Sutphen; and Jamie J. (April) Brudwick; Grandchildren: Thomas (Raafia) Blakeslee and their children Aydin and Nadia; Heather (Ryan) Sands and their children Blake and Lauren; Megan (Jacob) Cahak and their children Gretchen and Cameron; Joshua Sutphen and Hailey Brudwick.

He is further survived by his step-children: Steve (Mary) Strelow; Scott (Pat Burns) Strelow; Paul (Cindy) Strelow; Nancy Strelow Peck; and Shelly Grandy (Tim); step-son-in-law: Mark Caldwell; step-grandchildren: Marcy (Dave) Marks; Angela (Joey) Marcotte; Nicole (Hank) Rollinger; Mandy Bagniewski (Dennis); BreAnn (Ron) Meier; Scott Tullius (Erin Isakson); Derek Strelow; Kristina (Steven) Kerksiek; and Kylie (Brodie) Will; Chris (Wendy) Peck and Sarah (Jake) Lindquist; Luke (Sarah) Drazkowski; Derek Webster; step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces; great-nephews, as well as other family and friends.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents: Mervin and Victoria “Margret” (Wanous) Brudwick; his wife: Laverne “Lovey” (Strelow) Brudwick; step-daughter: Kathleen Caldwell; Step-grandsons: Matthew Marc “Matt” Strelow, and Barry John“BJ” Tullius; and step-son-in-law: David R. Peck.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 10:30 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Deacon James Welch will officiate. Eugene will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery (Winona) in a private family burial following the funeral.
