Elizabeth "Betty" A. Fratzke

Our beautiful, amazing Mother and Grandmother, Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Fratzke, of Winona, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Adith Miller Manor.

Elizabeth was born on January 15, 1941, to Robert and Amelia (Goroski) Wicka. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Richard “Pat” Kramer and together they had five children; they later divorced. In July of 1991, she married Robert Fratzke.

She stayed at home raising her children and later worked at various places in Winona and retired from Winona State University.

Elizabeth’s priority was her family, and she enjoyed time spent with them, playing cards and bingo. Elizabeth was also an avid bowler, and loved to dance.

Elizabeth is survived by her children: Lynn Biesanz, Kathy Kramer, Patrick (Deb) Kramer, Jodi (Tony) Hohensee, and Jami (Rick) Spitzer; grandchildren: Jesse, Samantha, Nash, Natalii, Alyxandra, Arron, Brynn, Logan; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Zeke, Mirranda, Amelia, Hadlee, Hayes; great-great grandchild: Owen; siblings: Bernard Wicka, Loretta (Fran) Pehler and Donald (Mary) Wicka; sister-in-law: Alice Wicka; stepchildren: Julie and Erik and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Gerald, Vincent, David, Geraldine, Delores, and stepson, Mark.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka with the Very Reverend Patrick Arens officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation one hour prior to the service at the Basilica. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Winona, following the service. Lunch will be available in the basement of the Basilica after the burial.

Mom, the love and support that you gave your children is cherished and will live on forever. Thank you for being a wonderful mother. We know you will continue to guide us and watch over us. You are our Guardian Angel! We love you, Mom!

Elizabeth’s family is blessed and thankful for the extraordinary care given by Dr. Jennifer Forsyth, the amazing and sweet staff at Adith Miller Manor, as well as the wonderful and compassionate care given by the Winona Hospice nurses and social workers.
