DOLORES LUCILLE (PRZYBYLSKI) CIEMINSKI

Dolores Lucille (Przybylski) Cieminski, age 88, of Winona, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Sauer Healthcare in Winona, with her two sisters at her side.

She was born on August 1, 1928, in Winona, to Stanley and Frances (Newman) Przybylski.  After graduating from Cathedral High School in 1946, Dolores worked as a stenographer at Vulcan Manufacturing and Bay State Milling.  Dolores was united in marriage with her beloved husband, John G. Cieminski, on July 14, 1956, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Winona.  They enjoyed 34 years of marriage until his death on August 7, 1990.  In 1983, Dolores retired from Norwest Bank of Winona after 21 years of service, where she worked in the Trust Department and the Safety Deposit Box area.

Dolores and John had a small farm just outside of Winona for many years.  She worked alongside John, helping him with baling hay and the cattle.

A devout Catholic, Dolores was a lifelong active parishioner of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, where she sang in the Adult Choir for 10 years, was a Eucharistic Minister for 20 years, and for five years, she delivered bulletins to parishioners who were in nursing homes.  In more recent years, Dolores was Treasurer of the Serra Club for 20 years.

Although John and Dolores were not able to have any children of their own, Dolores loved and enjoyed everyone else’s children.  As the oldest of her nine siblings, Dolores helped her mother with the younger children, and was like a second mother to them.

Dolores is lovingly survived by her brothers: Joseph Przybylski, Alamogordo, NM; David Przybylski, Rib Lake, WI; sisters: Mary (Ken) Burmeister, Dallas, WI; and Therese (Jim) Przytarski, La Crescent, MN; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Frances; brothers: Robert, John, and Edward; and her sister, Barbara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.

Dolores will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, where the Serra Club will lead the Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 10:30 AM.
