Dennis G. McMillan of Winona, peacefully passed away at his home on Monday, May 18, 2026, his 82nd birthday.

Born on May 18, 1944, in Sycamore, IL, to William and Florence (Drazkowski) McMillan, Dennis lived a life enriched by family, friendships, and lifelong passions. He married Marian Brand on November 27, 1971, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Wilson, and their union was a source of great joy.

Dennis dedicated over 30 years of his career to the Winona Knitting Mills and following his retirement, continued working part-time at Target in Winona. He was an avid golfer and member of the Westfield Golf Club, and he enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Bears, playing cards (particularly Texas Hold’em), and spending time playing pool at the Winona Friendship Center.

Above all, Dennis treasured his family. He often spoke fondly of his daughter Michelle, whom he called, "the apple of his eye," and dearly valued the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him the most.

He is lovingly survived by his wife Marian; daughter, Michelle (Jimmy) Woodard; grandchildren: Jessica (Brandon) Woodard, Jamie (Jenny) Woodard, and Jordan (Sandra) Woodard; great-grandchildren: Hudson, Waylon, Wyatt, Charlee Marie, and Easton; sister, Anita Kirchoff; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Roger (Melanie) Brand, Linda (David) Storm, and Leroy (Ronda) Brand; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Jacqueline Loveday, Roger McMillan, and William Boyd McMillan.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, 376 E. Sarnia St., Winona. Dennis will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson.

Dennis’ family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Cardiac Rehab at Winona Health, and the Renal Dialysis team at Emplify Health in Onalaska, for the compassionate care provided.
