Deborah Serwa

DEBORAH J. SERWA

I, Deborah Serwa, a long-time resident of Winona, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Western Arizona Medical Center in Bullhead City, AZ. I was born July 21, 1950, in Bentonville, AR.

I love and will miss my husband of 47+ years, Paul, my 2 children (Brian Serwa of San Tan Valley, AZ and Brenda (Luke) Pellowski of Winona), my 4 grandchildren and all the friends I have made along the way. I have gone to join my father & mother (James & Jonell Walsh), my brother (Joe Steven), plus all the relatives on the Serwa side of my family.

I worked with Special Needs Children in the Winona Area for nearly 30 years before retiring and moving to warmer weather in Arizona with Paul in 2008. I found enjoyment visiting Winona (not as much in the cold weather) and the entertainment of the various casinos in MN, WI, IA, AZ, and NV. In fact, before being admitted in the hospital, I was at the Edgewater Casino in Laughlin and had just won $50!

I will leave you with this…please don’t cry because I’m gone; instead be happy I was here. I will be looking down on you and attending all the casinos in Heaven. Until we meet again, take care, Deborah Serwa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona.  Pastor Linda Helberg will officiate.

Deborah will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Central Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 10 AM until the time of the service.
