David Wera

David S Wera, age 55, of Winona, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018, at his home.

Dave was born on April 29, 1963, in Winona, MN, to Robert and Margaret (Bagniewski) Wera.  He married Darcey Carlson and together they had two daughters, Paige and Aimee, and they later divorced. Dave and Darcey remained close friends and raised their daughters together.

Dave was employed as a sales representative for many years with Dynotec Industries.  Dave will be remembered for his love of being on the river, boating, wave running, tubing with his family.  Dave’s favorite family memories are spent at the family boathouse enjoying all the water activities, campfires, story-telling, fireworks, BBQ’s, making smores and fishing. Dave had a great sense of humor and his laugh was infectious.

Dave is survived by his former wife, Darcey Wera; children: Paige Wera (Dan Montes), Aimee Wera, brother: Jack Wera (Linda Arnesen); sister: Judy (Warren) Terwilliger: niece and nephews: Robin (Jerad) Tuxen, Chipp Terwilliger, and Kate (Trevor) Gerard and great-nephews: Ray, Jens, and Will Tuxen; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Gregory and sister-in-law Sarah Wera.

Visitation for the celebration of Dave’s life will be held from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Watkowski-Mulyck funeral home in Winona.  The Reverend Kathy Schuler will officiate.  We will gather for a time of fellowship at Bub’s basement afterward.
