DAVID J. DRAZKOWSKI

David J. Drazkowski, age 67, of Bluff Siding, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital in La Crosse, following a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born on February 24, 1951, in Arcadia, WI, to Leonard and Helen (Pelowski) Drazkowski.  He married Susan Wieczorek on September 22, 1973, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, and she preceded him in death on June 11, 2016.

David was a hard worker with a strong work ethic who was employed with Bay State Milling in Winona until his retirement, and he was proud to continue the operation of the family farm in Bluff Siding, which he took over from his parents.

He was a member of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka, and of the Winona Archery Club.  David was a huge Packers fan, and will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, and he looked forward to his yearly elk hunting trips to Colorado.

David was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and brother who especially cherished the time that he spent with his granddaughters.

David is lovingly survived by his daughters: Carrie (Mike) Drazkowski-Jones; Becky (Stuart) Clarke; grandchildren: Taylor Sophia Jones and Savannah Jo Jones; sisters and brother: Diane (Mike) Cada; Patty (Dave) Althoff; Nancy (JR) Berger; and Woody (Paulette) Drazkowski; sister-in-law: Karen (Greg) Flatten; brother-in-law: Rick (Debbie) Wieczorek; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, Leonard and Helen Drazkowski; and his in-laws: James and Rosemary Wieczorek.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 2 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at the Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka.  The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer will officiate.  Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the American Legion Club, 302 East Sarnia St. in Winona.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Drazkowski, Gary Wieczorek, Kevin Ressie, Bud Mrozek, Ryan Wieczorek, Travis Althoff, and Randy Abnett.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be considered to a charity of choice.
