DAUPHNEY M. MATTHEES

Dauphney M. Matthees, age 87, of Bloomington, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington.

She was born on May 27, 1929, in South St. Paul, MN, to Walfred and Ada (Nordquist) Anderson.  She was united in marriage with Gerhardt Matthees on September 27, 1952, in South Saint Paul.

She enjoyed knitting, ice fishing, traveling, camping, cards, and spending time with friends and family.

Heartfelt thanks goes out to her many caregivers and friends at Masonic Homes.

Dauphney is survived by her husband, Gerhardt; children: Ed, Ron, and Tim (Karen); grandchildren: Justinne Matthees; Joshua (Sammy) Matthees; Laura (Will) Coleman; Heather (Mark) Dose; great-grandchildren: Tanner Matthees; Maja, Emma, Piper, and Audrey Coleman; brother: Reuben (Joan) Anderson; sisters: Nancy (Don) Gensmer and Judy (Ger) Krumrie;  sisters-in-law and brothers in-law: Ada (Les) Iverson; Gene Edleman; Elizabeth Berndt; Mildred (Donald) Nisbit; Donald (Ellie) Matthees; and Marvin (Pam) Matthees.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother in-laws and sister-in-laws: Henrietta Edleman; Ronald Rausch; Mary Ann and Frank Tointon; and Robert Berndt

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 3 PM until 7 PM, and again on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 2, 2016, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home, with Pastor David Eckert officiating.

A memorial service will be held at the Minnesota Masonic Home Chapel in Bloomington on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:30 AM

Dauphney will be laid to rest in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Norton.
