Danny B. Donahue

Danny B. Donahue, age 72, of Winona, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 12, 2025, following a short illness.

He was born on October 19, 1953, in Janesville, WI, to Norbert “Ken” and Valeria (Hermanson) Donahue, and served his country with the United States Army.

Danny was united in marriage with Patricia Chase on March 21, 1987, in Winona.

He was employed with RTP in Winona for many years, and in retirement he worked for Menards and drove bus for the City of Winona.

Danny loved sports of any kind, and enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and as a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins, he was proud to have attended the 7th game of the World Series in 1991.

He will be remembered for his enjoyment of woodworking, gardening, fishing, and for rides on his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Always the social butterfly, Danny loved singing karaoke and visiting with his many friends and second family at Poots Tavern.

Danny will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him the most.

Danny is lovingly survived by his wife, Pat; son, Brian (Michelle) Donahue; granddaughter, Olivia; mother, Valeria Donahue; siblings: Joyce (Mike) Packard, Jennifer (Roger) Sydell, Dave (LuAnne) Donahue, and Troy (friend, Cindy Clement) Donahue; sister-in-law: Lisa (Lonnie) Larson; granddog, Amos; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Oscar; dad, Ken; in-laws: Gale and Janice Chase; sisters-in-law: Sue Meyer and Tracy Donahue; and his beloved dogs, Nicky and Ivy.

Visitation will be held at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home in Winona on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11 AM until a time of remembrance at 1 PM. Danny will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona at a later date.
