Carol J. Czaplewski

Carol J. Czaplewski, age 85, of Fountain City, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls, WI.

She was born on January 9, 1939, in Fountain City, WI, to Frank and Armella (Baures) Cieminski. Carol was united in marriage with Roger A. Czaplewski on April 12, 1958, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2003.

Carol was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, and will be remembered as an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and for her enjoyment of reading.  She will be deeply missed.

Carol is lovingly survived by her children: Rita (William) Engfer, Randy (Jean) Czaplewski, William Czaplewski, Linda (Randy) Gunderson, and Patti (Richard Ray) Franzwa; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Cieminski.

Honoring Carol’s wishes, there will be a private family graveside service at Pieper’s Valley Cemetery at a later date.
